Nick Drake was such a quiet and non-confrontational soul... really makes you wonder why Kendrick Lamar would beef with him on "Not Like Us"

I saw a french guy do the whole of five leaves left in a pub in Camden a few years back. There was about five of us avidly listening to the music, while a crowded bar talked loudly over him. Eventually they even started playing music out of the speakers before he'd finished. He eventually stopped half way through a song, sadly sighed and said "well at least you're getting the authentic Nick Drake experience.

It was poetic and tragic and in a way perfect, truly the closest anyone could come now to seeing the great man for real

His label should have gave him at least a couple of guitars for the tuning issue lol

While he’s always had a small fan base, if it wasn’t for the pink moon Volkswagen commercial (I think it was for the cabrio) in the late 90s which led into “Fly” in The Royal Tenenbaums shortly after none of us would probably be talking about him right now. Man, what a great time to be in my early 20s. I really miss that turn of the century and years after era. The early 2000s were so fun.

Nick Drake's music lived on after his death. Absolute gorgeous discography full of nuance, beautiful chords, lyrics, and singing.

Marty Cardarople has the biggest chance to star in a Nick Drake biopic

As a non-musician, I love the way you breakdown how he plays. Thank you for the great intro to a musician I’d never heard of and the insight into how guitars are played. ❤️

Thanks heavens I came across Nick Drake as a kid in 1974 or so- so I've had the delight of listening to him for 50 years. Soundtrack of my life- have had Bryter Later in every iteration of format- vinyl, pirates cassettes, CD, digital. Now in my 70s, more into his music - especially the starker albums- than ever.
Personally I blame the horrible drugs he was prescribed -amyltriptalyne was clumsy crap..
