So if you notice, Serj starts this song off sounding ironic or sarcastic, but the further the song goes, the less and less ironnic and sarcastic sounding he gets. He transitions to anger towards the end. This song has such a heavy and deep message. SOAD is a phenomenal band!

0:33 that reaction is the sole reason I love watching people react to this band, a mixture of confusion, amazement, and a hint of concern

The first time i heard this song, the radio guy announced it as a brand new song. I listened to it with my dad, we both thought it was crazy. The radio guy said he had to hear that again and played it again. It was even better the second time. Pretty good memory

This song taught about half of a generation of Americans how angry they should be about things their parents had also once cared about

SOADs drummer is criminally underrated and timing like this impossible without an absolute machine on drums

fun fact: the female backing vocals on the chorus were also sung by Serj (he personally confirmed this rumor, but also the pronunciation gives it away a little). his vocal range is over 4 octaves, so that's really, really insane!

I love that they have a message that they are passionate about screaming into a giant microphone. It's not just a fake love story or some story about a dark horse rider or something. It's something they truly believe in. That and they sound so different.

the pause at 8:55 is so funny cause she has no idea what is about to come

As a person who has listened to these songs thousands of times, it has been really fun watching someone's reactions as a first time listener.

Daron and Serj's harmonies are actually a defining fixture of the band's sound. Especially after the first couple albums.
