The 7.5FK is basically a 5.7 that ate a hamburger, watched Terminator 2, and then grew a pair.

I was considering the purchase of an FK 7.5 Field Pistol (all steel, 6" barrel) a few years ago. I contacted a few ammo retailers that, at the time of 7.5 FK Brno US release, claimed they would have this ammo readily available. NO retail was willing to sell it by the case. The ammo was available by the box on Gun Broker, but it was around $5 per round. I lost ALL interest in 7.5FK at that time.

Have you ever tested the old Soviet Tokarev 7.62x25?

That 7.5mm FK was designed to increase the firepower of the weapon included in Check Air Force's pilots' emergency bail out kits. It is designed to be highly accurate and highly lethal out to 200 meters. Basically, they tried combining the power and accuracy of a carbine in a handgun.

9X25 was developed to make IPSC major power and maximize compensator effectiveness via gas volume and pressure. CCW is an interesting consideration...

 Ever try a 45/38 JWH?
In Australia there was a " ban" on pistol calibets or 38. Someone necked down a 45ACP to 38. And nsmed it after the Prime Minister who said he " hated guns", John Winston Howard.
Lots of competition shooters then rebarrelled their 1911 from 45 to 38 and continued shooting with a faster, lighter bullet.
