Amazing! Really great colors, thanks Brian for showing these! I recently bought a GG1 at an local estate auction for a ridiculous low $50, came with some 6464's, 2344's f3's and a ton of rusty track, never though i'd be able to afford a GG1, even had the pantographs stored in an old kodak box!

Two VERY interesting pieces Brian! Thanks for sharing them with us! <br>And just a tip to everyone, the best way to preserve a finish on these old Lionels is with a coat of paste wax. Oils or similar things will eventually attack the finish, paint or otherwise. Paste wax is benign and won't. If you've done a repaint a top cover of a clear coat either gloss, semi-gloss, or matt is OK as well.

Love these episodes and these 1 offs! I wonder if the 'scratches' are old brushstrokes?...definitely a head-scratcher. Hard to imagine Mr. Vagel or Mr. Shempp jeopardizing those awesome plated finishings that way!
