Hi in '63 my brother's friend showed up at our house with this exact car, I remembered the guy saying that the warranty lasted until you get off the parking lot. this thing was loud, bench seat and one visor

The Max Wedge 413 was also a heck of a motor. 2-4&apos;s, high compression.<br>In an early Polara, it rocked !

Back in the early 1960s, the CHP had cars with dual quad Chrysler engines, and they were wicked fast. &nbsp; They all had cams that caused the engines to lope at idle. &nbsp;Beautiful sound.

My opinion is, the 426 wedge was a better engine than the 426 hemi. The wedge made the same hp and torque, but at 4200 rpm and you had to turn the hemi 6400 rpm. For my use, I liked the wedge!

    I owned a &apos;&apos;64 Plymouth M/W and it came with a warranty. &nbsp;I can&apos;t see a &apos;63 coming without a warranty.

I had one of these &apos;63&apos;s in the late 60&apos;s that was used as a drag car with a 426 wedge I believe. They had blown the lower end of the motor. I think the car was called a police interceptor. They had put a built 383 and I think used the 426 heads with a 4 barrel. It had this short shit heavy duty 3 speed. In the trunk was the cross 2x4&apos;s set up and a posi rear end for the strip. It had some 2 point headman headers, traction bars equipped. I was a chevy guy, 2, &apos;55&apos;s, 2 &apos;57&apos;s, &apos;63, &apos;64, 70 1/2 Z28 375 hp, 4 speed. This Plymouth was fast, but my &apos;55 chevy would still take it.

In 1966, the Plymouth GTX had an option for the 426 hemi. The dealers would not warranty the engine. They figured if you bought one, it would mainly be used for racing.

When my dad got his RX8, the first thing they told him was it was going to burn through a lot of oil compared to a V engine. He had to add oil about every 2 weeks.
