Should’ve mentioned more of the media stuff regarding his character and commitment to teams and how that ties into the absolutely embarrassing look of him leaving PSG for the the reigning UCL winners only for PSG to win back to back UCLs without him. Dembele basically lucked into the position we all thought Mbappé and even Neymar would occupy.

It doesn't matter how stellar his G/A and attacking statistics look if his team's entire midfield and defence crumble because he'd rather attack than do basic defence. His 60 goals will always be worth less than anyone else's, is it really worth 60 goals if he loses his team 15+ goals each season from his lack of defence? Not to mention his lack of defence is amplified in big games, top teams will capitalise on his playstyle. Try playing defense with 10 men against Bayern, PSG, Barcelona, guess what happens? You lose every time, and his horrific record against top teams is exactly why he still doesn't have a UCL. France got shredded by Spain because you simply cannot play against a possession based side down a man. Ask Argentina.

R9 and Maradona never won the ucl either, but we consider them all time greats, mbappe has cemented his legacy as an all time great long ago

He has the talent to be top 5 all time but he doesn't have the trophies to match it, he's a top 10 international player but hasn't won a World Cup where he got to define it by himself neither has he won a Euros so he can't be top 5. He's never won a UCL either but he has individual numbers so he might become a what if like Neymar. I love him but if he retires right now, he might be arguably a top 15 player all time but needs more to comfortably go any higher
