There must be thousands of &quot;best&quot; carp baits. <br>I always use traditional ones, like mussels, I&apos;ve been using them now for well over 65 years.

Nothing new but very effective particle mix.

The tattooed Taffy takes this old git back to 1980 when i was seriously carp fishing and pigeon conditioner came on the scene. Particle fishing for big carp really took off down in Kent I believe with the likes of Jim Gibbinson. When hair rigs and boilies broke onto the scene we used to incorporate pigeon conditioner in our home made bird food boilies.

Mainline Power Particle Aniseed mix (when I can get it) PLUS Mainline Spod and PVA pellet mix are my 2 go-to&apos;s when I need them. I&apos;ll sometimes grab some Quest Baits mini mixed pellets if I see them. Pigeon conditioner is too &quot;faffy&quot; with all of the soaking and boiling prep beforehand. Happy to do it for hemp and occasionally tares, but not for a seed mix. The 3 mentioned a ready to go.
