  I am X-Navy, Submarines 4 years and merchant seamen 23 years I can tell you now 1000 things can go wrong in a blink of an eye at sea 🌊 even for the most experienced Seaman. But one great story is I was catching a smoke at night underway and a humpback whale surfaced right off are starboard stern. That beautiful creature looked at me with curiosity and it was one of the most beautiful memories of my life.😊

  Great job on this, I spent 27 years out at sea. I resigned from the Merchant Marines and got me a land job. 27 years at sea was enough, got burned out.

  In the days of sailing vessels it would not be uncommon for the ship to stop at uncharted or uninhabited islands to restock supplies or more importantly fresh drinking water.  Its easy to imagine the crew on land gathering supplies when the ships mooring breaks setting her adrift. This would explain why the crew and lifeboats were never found.

  Just got out of a 11 year abusive relationship and for the first time in a long time I’m sleeping alone by myself and I feel completely alone if that makes sense and can’t seem to sleep and keep my mind from wandering and I get on YouTube looking for something to watch, listen to while falling asleep because my mind keeps wondering and I’ve come across your video and for the first time I feel like I can breathe a fresh breath of air. It’s so refreshing to find such a straight forward video and not only that but your voice is very soothing and meant for this. This is a great video and thank you for making this. You definitely helped me sleep my first night alone in a long time. I mean I wasn’t completely alone cause your story was playing out loud so I felt somewhere safe if that makes sense❤

  How do you even comprehend this generation of badasses. These amazing men. My dad was one of these guys, he flew gliders into Normandy during WWII. He was my hero. I am 67 years old and I still miss him everyday.

  El Faro was an old ship that found itself in a major storm. RIP. The Edmond Fitzgerald wasn't old but hit another major storm, 60 mph winds, 25 - 35 ft. waves? It just snapped in two leaving the crew no time to save themselves. RIP. Same with the Cyclops, which was operating with only one engine.
