  This was when YN2s on CSX were becoming the norm on CSX. After Conrail was split, for CSX and NS, there was a huge demand for lease power. CSX and NS both would lease power to ease their power shortages caused by the split of Conrail in 1999.

  I give Horseshoe Curve near Altoona a better advantage over Sand Patch &nbsp;Conrail Helpers going Down hill Eastbounds specially Coal Trains from Shire Oaks &nbsp;Helpers get pick up in Pittsburgh or Johnstown &nbsp; used it Brakes to get over the Curve &nbsp; &amp; Cassandra Railfan Overlook is another great spot band the Brickyard in Altoona
