  Davido was still diplomatic when talking about the situation with Wande Coal in the interview with the three ladies. I don&apos;t think anything he said deserved the reaction Wande Coal gave him. Even if Wande felt offended, he could have handled it more maturely. <br> <br>I also think Davido&apos;s response was justified because Wande was the one who attacked him first. <br><br>My personal opinion is that Wande Coal may have reacted that way because of his close relationship with Wizkid and Olamide&apos;s recent tweet about going hit-for-hit with Davido may also have influenced the situation. But that&apos;s just my assumption.

  Let’s get the facts straight and avoid creating a narrative based on assumptions. <br> <br>First, Davido was not aware that “Come My Way” was supposed to be a remix because Wande Coal had never released the song before they recorded their version. Wande was the one who brought the song to Davido, so once Davido became part of the project, it was only reasonable for him to have some input on the release date, especially from a business and marketing perspective. Wande was also free to accept or reject Davido’s terms. Also Davido was not aware that the song would be a remix under when the business side of it came into motion <br> <br>Personally, I feel Wande may have been waiting for an opportunity to have an issue with Davido, and this situation gave him that opportunity. If he genuinely disagreed with Davido’s position, he could have handled it differently. Instead, I think he chose the wrong battle and ended up making himself look unnecessarily confrontational. <br> <br>I also disagree with the idea that Wande Coal was the one who “passed the baton” to the new generation. Before and during Wande’s prime, artists like D’banj, P-Square and 2Face were already making major contributions to Nigerian music and influencing the culture. <br> <br>Wande Coal clearly has a good voice and has made some memorable records, but having a good voice is different from creating a musical formula, movement or culture that influences generations after him. Fela, King Sunny Ade, Sina Peter, King wasue, D’banj, P-Square and 2Face all left clear templates that other artists could build on. <br> <br>In my opinion, Wande’s biggest strength was his vocal ability and maybe lyricsm. However, when it comes to broader cultural influence and creating a lasting musical blueprint, I don’t think his contribution is on the same level as those artists.
