Wicknell Chivayo is simply faking his death...his life is at risk and has interacted with enough African dictators to understand that they don't play cat and mouse games and the only way to be safe is to stop existing by faking his death. My guess is that someone in a politician's circle informed him of an assassination plot being hatched or a legal lawsuit that would've ensured he spent his life in prison so he decided to fake his own death. He's a smart fast thinker who's been around enough African dictators understand how greedy ,vindictive and vicious they are especially when projecting their political power.
