  Wow, you guys are very fortunate or hardworking to have that kind of money - I’ve just started my sailing liveaboard journey and I am hoping I can do it on a third of that - time will tell; thank you for the video😊

  Such an adorable couple.<br>It feels good seeing you guys achieving your dreams and living your lives as you love.<br>The first period of owning a sailboat is the most expensive because you have to refit and add your personal signature to your floating home. <br>In the future, you will realise that many expenses are unnecessary and you can have the same results by spending less. <br>I suggest you invest the maximum on things that reduce costs, for example, more photovoltaics and large-capacity lithium batteries. <br>Those upgrades can help you to save money on fuel and gas.<br>You already have a satellite communication device (Starling) so the satellite phone can not do anything better. <br>Watermakers can reduce your visits to marinas and also can provide 100% drinkable water so not need to buy water. <br>Try to understand the procedures on how to maintain and service the equipment, engine and other peripheral systems. The sailing community has published lots of books on DIY works on the boat, and I am sure you can find them useful. <br>In the end, you need to realise that the most elegant and delicatessen supermarket is located exactly underneath the sailboat and it is free 😉<br>So you can invest in a fishing gear box and I am 100% sure that this investment will pay off at the same time you get your first tuna. <br>Wish you all the best, many kisses from Greece and I hope to meet you out there one day ❤

  A couple I know sailed around the world for $10.000 per year for 6 years. In the last two years, they even had a baby. But they did cut some big costs. For example, they rarely went to marinas. And the boat was paid for before they left. They built it themselves. Spending €4.850 per month sounds crazy. I hope you plan to lower your costs in the long run.

  You&apos;ve been very careful, choosing a very capable and comfortable boat very well equipped, with top notch upgrades, like Germans like to do it - just perfect. I wish you lots of maritime pleasures, and a good, strong structural repair after the crack. A friend of mine had a similar repair, it did cost 30.000€ and 2-3 months of work, but then he could cross the atlantic and he met in February 3 depressions with violent winds, the boat could keep up with without any issue. Good luck and if you decide to come back to the med and visit french riviera waiting for the atlantic crossing in October 25, let me know. Kind Regards
