I favor a glossy paint job, which is probably why I love the new Blade V10 18x20. I'm playing with string setups and trying to convince myself that I need a new racekt regardless of what the internet tells me. I'm mainly tempted by paintjobs. I like the Blue Ezone 98 and the 2023 PA98. If I play better because of a placebo tactic like a paint job then it's all gravy.

And then there's the Pure Aero 98.<br><br>I haven't heard anybody favour the new one over the '23 model.<br><br>Sometimes it's not an evolution, a completely new mold could result in a different racquet.<br><br>And why should the racquet development have outpaced the game? The demand for more power due to worse ball quality hasn't been met until the Deep Fryer was released. Some players even abandoned their brand (I'm looking at you, Blade!).

Love the 'Italian' hand movements! <br><br>From my experience most modern rackets are quite homogenised - I don't think any decent player would have any big issues with any of them. Better, yes. But a bit boring, bland?

i demoed the 8th gen vcore 98. i don't it. it seems i need to make a lot of adjustment (strokes) to make it work for me. i end up going back to 7th gen.

Barely any worthwhile changes in rackets for most people. Focus on strings.
