THANK YOU for watching, and THANK YOU to Prusa Research for their support. <br><br>Hey... what do you think of the new set? I'm not sold on it.

The reason why alot of people stick to PLA and PETG is because of cost.<br><br>Hell, the reason why I don't even touch engineering filaments is because of that. And I print mechanical parts all the time.

I am an engineer and I only print in PETG to minimise my material inventory. It allows me to refine the process settings. I adjust the CAD model to account for the material properties. If I change I would transition entirely to an alternative material. I have not yet needed to use a specialist plastic.<br><br>It is good to learn about the alternative materials. Nice video.

I usually use petg for indoor prints, used ASA to make custom switch panel for my friends truck to replace the OEM one. I picked it for it's UV resistance and temperature resistance here in the Florida sun. It's still holding up 5 years later.

I ❤PETG and all it's variants. Not sure why it's your nemesis. It's what I print most with TPU being a close second. I love conquering new or "difficult " engineering filaments. Almost half of my 200+ spool inventory is obscure little known/used polymers. Many of which were not available in 1.75mm or anymore at all. That's my main reason for grabbing them up when I see them. Happy PETG printing!!!

I got into 3D printing a month ago to find ways to design replacement parts for medical equipment whose manufacturers have since shut down and no parts can be found anywhere. My best success has been with ABS-GF so far but that was before I stumbled on your channel and this video has given me options to explore that I didn't even know about. Thanks so much for your insight!

I pay $8 - $9 per KG for PETG. When the other filaments get around that price, then we can talk.

😬 Grimacing at the PTFE... the last thing I want to do is cook up PFAS in my garage...

Thank you for a great video. It is hard to keep up with the available filaments. Channels like yours helps a lot!
