Charles' campaign quickly turned into a disaster after he accepted a sponsorship from Raid Shadow Legends.

This allowed Peter the Great to make a call-out video on him in which he called him a sell-out, ironically while being sponsored by Skillshare.

Nonetheless, Charles' subscribers abandoned him and he had to flee to the court of the Twitch Empire.
There he attained great fame and wealth, until the Sultan banned him for repeatedly violating his terms of service.

The Swedish language gained the word "kalabalik" from Turkish during this time following the skirmish at Bender, known as "kalabaliken i Bender" in Swedish. It means something like disorder/turmoil.

The Swedish king known as “Demirbas Karl” in Turkey. Another meaning of “demirbas” is asset which used some people as guest who stay longer than expected and doesn’t want to leave 😁

in his 5 years of exile in Ottoman empire King Charles studied ottoman navy and two ships were build based on his designs and sketches inspired by ottoman galleys. these ship were called "Jarramas" and "Jilderim" which are Swedish pronunciations of Turkish words Yaramaz (naughty) and Yıldırım (thunder). also the final skirmish between Turkish and Swedish forces is called Kalabaliken i Bender in Swedish. kalabalık is a Turkish word meaning crowd or crowded and it became a loanword for riot or confusion in Swedish and Finnish (Kalabalikki). Finally Swedish meatballs are based on a recipe brought by king Charles to Sweden from ottomans alongside coffee beans and stuffed cabbage.

It is often understated how significant the Ottoman victory over Russia at Azov was. Had they starved him out and had the Tsar imprisoned, Peter the great would not have ascended the throne for a while, which would have allowed other European powers to make preparations against Russia.
The Ottomans could have finished off their greatest nemesis before it even became one.

When you, a polish diplomat, has to mediate between the turkish sultan and the swedish king in order to invade russia and depose the tsar, but you are also in competition with british diplomat who seeks a coalition with prussia to invade swedish pomerania.

actually, "demirbaş" is a mocking alias. this charles guy stayed so long in ottoman empire, people thought that he would never leave. so he was called "fixed asset" sarcastically
