2016 curry looked like he was just chucking that ball up and that shit would be swish, truly a game defining peak of pure skill

I keep holding on to Steph highlights, when the team wasn’t dog ass and he was competing for chips, this breakdown is like CRACK to my brain😂

2022 is the greatest Curry has ever been. He had the optimal combination of strength, finishing, BBIQ, quickness, ballhandling and otherworldly shooting in his career.

Idk if im tweakin or not, but whenever Steph takes a mid range, he basically almost floats it in instead of a shot every time. Like he prepares his shot as if hes shooting a reg 3, but then he like shoots a two hand floater almost. Its almost like mid ranges are too close for him so anything in the mid range area is just floater range for him lmao.

If only Jokic would sign with Golden State, that'd be amazing. The greatest offensive hub paired with the greatest offensive outlet in NBA history

My two favorite point guards of all time are Chris Paul and Curry, despite them having two wildly different play styles.

Chris was the control freak, a ball dominant micromanager who ground teams into dust with an efficient, PNR heavy half court style. If you had a weak defender on the court, any kind of flaw in your defensive scheme, Chris would see it and exploit it to ruthless effect. But Chris could be rigid in his approach to the game, slow to adapt to opponents who threw him curve balls in return, slow to up his own scoring and pace when his team needed him to. He had his comfort zone as a player, and was reluctant to play outside of it.

Steph was the opposite, a swashbuckling, fast moving, read and react savant who played freely and unselfishly. Yes, he could be sloppy with his passing and handles. No, even though he improved greatly as a defender over the years, he never came close to matching Paul's mix of instincts and ferocity.

But he was willing to do anything his team needed from him. On ball? No problem. Give up the ball and run like Reggie Miller? Set screens, make back cuts, cede control to his teammates? Also no problem. Unlike so many star players, Steph never got precious over not having the ball in his hands, had no problem trusting his teammates and coaches.

Chris was never great without the ball, often looked a bit lost without it. He could be a reluctant scorer at times, often spending the first 3 quarters setting up his teammates before hunting his own shot in the 4th. Steph refused to limit himself like that. If he had a shot, he took it. If it was time to pass, he did it, without hesitation. Chris was like a film director, forever trying to impose his vision onto the game. Steph was the jazz musician, adaptable and flexible.

I also found it interesting that despite their clashing styles and personalities, despite their fierce on court rivalry, the two have a surprisingly cordial relationship off the court. They were friends long before they became teammates at the Warriors, and their families have spent time with each other. A lot of the trash talking and shimmying in each other's face is just two friends competing and having fun.

Watching curry back 2017 was something crazy. He was quite breathtaking for a viewer, I remember drinking with the buddies watching a random golden state game and was in awe with his shooting, someone saying who the hell is that guy?

Gravity alone is why he is the greatest point guard of all time. Its such an underrated "non-stat" in his arguement against magic. No other point guard has/had the type of gravity he has. He's been getting double or even tripled team since 2015 and still shoots the ball at such a high clip. Its unreal.
