  I think you left out the main reason why he chose to go to the NBA straight after high school. He originally committed to play college basketball at Michigan, but he was ineligible to play for the Wolverines because he didn’t score a high enough score on his SAT. So his only option was to go straight to the NBA. However the school later found that he did score a high enough score on the SAT. But by then it was too late because they found that out, after Garnett was selected by the Timberwolves

  Man, KG was my absolute hero growing up. He’s the whole reason I even started watching the NBA. I used to battle it out in the low post during pickup games, completely ignoring the fact that I didn't have the height for it, just because I wanted to play like him. The Big Ticket will always be my GOAT.

  I didn&apos;t realize how unhinged he was until he beat my 2004 Kings in a regular season game to clinch the top seed in the West. His eyes were bulging out of his head when be checked the standings at the scores table. My mom thought he was a demon
