The Gold Webb: 95% Fine Gold Recovery on the First Pass? | Goldbay

Fine gold is easy to lose. Add heavy black sand and pyrite and it gets even more frustrating. So I wanted to see how quickly the Gold Webb could separate it by using an old-school fine gold recovery test. I mixed very fine gold under 30 mesh together with larger gold and ran the material through the separator in real time. You can watch the fine gold separate from the black sand and collect in the tubes while the lighter material continues through the system. There are no moving parts - the Gold Webb uses water flow to separate and concentrate the gold. No highlight reel. No cutting around the cleanup. You can actually watch the black sand move through while the gold starts gathering in the front tubes. This test also shows what happens to fine, flat gold flakes, where the gold collects, what reaches the tailings and what the final gold concentrate looks like after the run.
