I was raised as a Christian, fell into atheism, watched the passion one night on DVD at home, and cried like a baby for most of the run time.  That was the night I started coming home.

Finally a meaningful conversation with Mel Gibson about the craft - and not other nonsense. These are surprisingly few and far between - in fact, very rare - so cheers for this great conversation!

I've only seen my father with tears in his eyes once.  He told me he cried when he watched the Passion.

I am a huge fan of Mel. 20 years ago, I went through a bad patch in my marriage. We both just made 15 years not knowing my husband had just had an affair which cut my heart my soul in half! I was so broken and talked to God and said, my vows states through good and bad, sickness and in health blah blah blah and I’ve obeyed every vow! I don’t want to be with this man no more! Send me a sign that I have to stay in this BS! Then… the Passion of the Christ had just premiered in our hometown in NZ. A strong feeling came to me that I had to see this movie. Strangely my husband wanted to come with me. So we both went… while watching the film, we sat with our hands to ourselves, at the end of the movie, we were holding hands so tight and crying to see if YESHUA can forgive all sins, I need to do the same. Well it’s 2025, my husband overcome the enemy and blessed to be married 35 years and have a great bond with our 3 grown up children with 7 grandchildren. Till this day, I still follow every podcast or interview Mel has done. His strength and courage to stand firm with our creator! I can only continue to ask God to protect him and make fantastic movies as that’s his role to show the world his passion for Christ.
