  Fry's groceries is separate company, started by the same Fry family. They sold the supermarket to start the electronics store, which is well and truly dead.

  Frys started as a grocery store by the fry's. Later after selling frys (food) one of the brothers started frys electronics. So yes they technically related they are not the same thing or ever were. My frys was atlantis :D before that I had to shop at the area 51 frys. And before that it was good old trusty compusa, thee computer store.

  I loved Fry's, had one near me in Wilsonville, OR. I don't remember it really having a theme or anything though. The building it was in used to be a movie theater, and then Incredible Universe, and then Fry's. But it closed a long time ago, of course, and it's still sitting there, empty and the parking lot is all fenced off, reminding me of when I could just head there for whatever parts I needed and have them that day instead of ordering them on Amazon and having to wait.
