  We shopped Silversea vs Viking and went Silversea, it’s a better value for us. &nbsp;I think Viking is the better known brand

  We’ve tried Viking once, and Regent four times. We find Regent to be much better; many reasons. The large number of quality included excursions in each port is worth a lot. Free laundry service on Regent. Getting alcohol on Regent does not require producing your room card. Regent’s food is considerably better, there is more choice, and its dining rooms are beautiful. &nbsp;Viking’s dining rooms are plain. Service is much better on Regent. Much more space per passenger on Regent, with fewer guests. It just goes on and on. &nbsp;Regent is WAY better.

  Super interesting… thanks for your efforts. ( sailed 2 Viking longish cruises. Always the cheapest cabin. … from Australia so gratuity is included ). Wasn’t a fan on the first cruise. Too quiet. &nbsp;Second cruise - felt like home. And some extra entertainment… our account after about 3-4 weeks was around $100 so not big drinkers or spenders. <br>Now booked on Oceana ( 2029 🤦‍♀️). Should be interesting

  We are booked in an A category suite for the Istanbul to Athens cruise starting November 27. &nbsp;We had just disembarked the 2026 Queen Mary 2 world voyage when my husband saw a sponsored ad on FB for a huge discount. What started as a brochure rate of about $23,000 PP cost less than $9,000 for both of us. We are having difficulty deciding among the 57 tours offered for the cruise, about 5 per port.

  We&apos;ve &nbsp;sailed both cruise lines. I&apos;ve found Regent stuffier and more formal. The Regent included tours are much better.

  Not surprising, two different categories of ships. Only Regent is Ultra Luxury

  For those who favor the mind and aesthetic, and just happen to be well off, Viking is great. For those who are more ostentatious and value showiness and showing off, and happen to be well off, then it’s Regent.
