I was a kid and shouted to my family that I needed them to buy me the Kookie single. Everybody did a lip-sync in the mirror to that song. It was played for lip-sync acts in high school talent shows, and on local TV talent programs. Ed Burns did a lip sync of it on The Ed Sullivan Show, with Connie Stevens. It was a really popular hit! And guess who was the inspiration for Fonzie?

Someone needs to clue AI into Dino's being Dee-no's, rather than Dine-o's. AI even said that Dean (deen) Martin owned it but still called it Dee-no's.

I was stationed near LA in 1974 and I coudn't wait to see all the places in LA I saw on TV and in the movies. I was very disappointed to find out that the 77 Sunset Strip did not exist.

I was just a tiny tot when this was originally broadcast but I remember looking forward to it every week and was soooo sad when it was taken off. Thanks for posting this!

In the 1950's, Warner Bros. already had a 'lock' on the best westerns on television. With the introduction<br>of "77 Sunset Strip", this generated a whole new genre of detective shows, with a vast cadre of new,<br>young talent, who were paid relatively low salaries, under long term contracts. In my opinion, this <br>'formula' led to the greatest group of young actors to ever appear on television, under one company!
