  My issue with the synthesis ending is a few things:<br>- You are basically making a fundamental change to everyone&apos;s anatomy without anyone agreeing to it. This seems like just another form of subjugation.<br>- You cannot use known outcomes from the endings to determine which one Shepard would/should choose. I agree that Synthesis would be the best choice if you already knew what the outcome is. But you can only view the options from Shepard&apos;s perspective, before knowing what the outcomes would be. That also means...<br>- Shepard has no way of knowing whether the whole conversation with the Catalyst isn&apos;t just another manipulation. Throughout all 3 games Shepard has seen nothing but death and indoctrination from the Reapers. No reason to believe the Catalyst isn&apos;t just trying to avoid being destroyed.<br>- Which brings me to my final point and biggest one of all, the writers did not earn the synthesis ending. While control and destroy could theoretically work based on what we know about how the Reapers operate, the mechanics of how synthesis would even work were never fleshed out. They never explored how the entire galaxy could somehow be changed on a molecular level just by bathing in some green space magic. The theme was there throughout the series, but not the actual mechanics. Nothing in the games suggested to me that it would be possible to happen in the way it did.<br>There you go, long-ass comment that nobody will read. Nice to see some Mass Effect content again.   So what about the husks? Synthesis means organics will coexist with their zombified former neighbors. That’ll be rather awkward.

  I think the destroy ending cinematic should&apos;ve had Joker cradling EDI&apos;s body to give a more personal side to the consequence of your actions

  It won&apos;t change my mind because this is how I thought even during my first full paragon play through.<br><br>Honestly, this is the most morally true paragon decision if you see synthetics as beings worthy of personhood.
