Terry Williams, the drummer, was just amazing in this. This is one of the greatest live rock and roll performances ever. Someone mentioned that Terry's father was in the crowd, and this was the first time he saw his son perform in concert. Terry was known for hitting the drums really hard. He is retired now, in his mid-seventies.

10 of the best minutes on YouTube. Dire Straights was so talented and tight. And Mark Knopfler is one of the greatest guitarists in history, with a totally unique, slinky, fluid, understated style. Hes super fast but doesnt overplay - just ALWAYS hits the right notes at the right time. <br><br>And Terry Williams is a beast on the drums. Love how you noticed how the band responds to his mad fill about 3 minutes in - he challenges them to up their energy and they do. So great.

Mark Knopfler's improv skills are simply insane. It's a very simple song when you just look at the chord progressions & rhythms etc. but the tightness & skills of the band & Marks individual flair just makes it something truly special.
