  Fantastic video! Another "layer" that can create bigger gaps on offense is the use of circle movement from the foundational layer of rick torbett's read and readt offense (that's been around for almost 20 years already!). Whenever there is a drive, all other players rotate 1 spot depending on what side of the defender the driver beat his man. So if your defender is in the gap where the driver is trying to go, you rotate one spot away, making the close out significantly longer.

  I’m telling my kids there are two main phases: in possession, get into space &amp; out of possession, close down your opponent. This takes it up a level to show that when you get into possession, some spaces are much better than others.
