  He tends to end his dribble too early.  He often puts up a move and hold on to the ball before he confirms that he actually got by the defender and end up no where to go but to throw up a prayer, or a last second pass.

  This is why regular season stat lines should always be taken with a grain of salt. Not only do you play lots of weak teams, almost everyone is only going at 70%, because it&apos;s a long season and they need to reserve something in the tank for the playoffs. The post season is when you see who&apos;s the real deal, and Duren flamed out badly. He got outplayed by Wendell Carter in R1, and then by Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley in R2. The physicality that looked so impressive in the regular season vanished in a puff of smoke.<br><br>Duren demanding 40mill a year reminds me of Deandre Ayton demanding Luka money from Phoenix, despite being nowhere near that calibre of player. He hasn&apos;t earned it, he doesn&apos;t deserve it, and Detroit shouldn&apos;t entertain it. The last thing they need is to be saddled with another Andre Drummond, or worse yet, their own version of Ayton.

  Watching some of these playoff clips again makes you remember just how bad it was. Pistons fans were begging the coach to sit him.

  We&apos;ve seen so many guys like him, we know what kinda hard ceiling these type of low skill guys tend to top out at. Best case scenario, he becomes a good player, small star. But a true star he will not be.

  Another thing about the weight clause was that Duren has admitted to not being in great physical shape and that it was speculated that he got in good shape to get a good contract. So this was the organization’s way of making sure that Duren doesn’t get lazy/undisciplined and go back to his old habits.
