  The reason that Hulk did what cap asked was because he treated the Hulk as individual (not just Banner in a different shape) It didn&apos;t hurt that cap asked him to do something he wanted to do in the first place.

  Someone pointed out that when he is Hulk, Tony tries to talk to Banner, but Cap talks to the Hulk. I think that is part of the Hulk’s smile

  Basically it&apos;s that if Bruce willingly transforms, there&apos;s at least some control still there. He might not be super <b>smart</b> when he is, but he understands, recognizes friend from foe, and so on. But when he transforms unwillingly (like earlier in the movie where an explosion triggered it), there&apos;s a lot less control, Hulk just sees red and attacks anyone/anything nearby, as a defense mechanism.

  I love the part where Hulk gets happy about being told to smash. He has the widest smile on his face.

  My favourite part is in the middle of all the fighting, Banner just rides in on a motorbike like it is the most normal thing and has a casual conversation. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

  What it boils down to is Hulk and Banner are two different personalities occupying the same mind. Ever since Hulk came into being because of the Gamma exposure, all of Banners suppressed anger from his sh*tty father and the brutal murder of his mother, all exploded becoming the Hulk. Ever since that day, Hulk&apos;s been under almost constant attack by the American military trying to reclaim or destroy him, so they can harvest his DNA, apparently another branch of the super soldier initiative. Hulk has come to believe that everybody wants to hurt him and he just wants to be left alone. <br>On the other hand, the Avengers have shown him kindness, friendship and have asked him to be one of them fighting to protect people.<br> No one has ever asked Big Green to just use his strength and invulnerability to fight FOR something. The Captain did!

  Tony has researched just about everything on all members of the team. &nbsp;And that inquisitive poke he gave Banner on the helicarrier was him testing what he felt about Banner which is that he could control the transformation on some level. &nbsp;That&apos;s why he so confidently said, &quot;so tell him to suit up.&quot; &nbsp;<br><br>The incident on the helicarrier outside of that was caused by the manipulations of Loki and the energy of the tesseract. &nbsp;Away from that, Banner&apos;s control is fine. &nbsp;And Tony knew that. &nbsp;Observationally speaking.
