I miss the old Beautypedia site where you could look up brands and their products. Every "review" was sciences based and any product that wasn't rated well had the alternatives. When she launched her own products every thing listed in her books and site were just based on the science of it.

Paula Begoun is why I started wearing sunscreen religiously at 17. That was 40 years ago and I’m very grateful for the skin I have today ☺️

The book Don’t go to the Beauty Counter Without Me taught me so much about skin care and ingredients!

Thank you for giving Paula Begoun the credit and accolades she so richly deserves. I have so much respect for her. Back in the early 80's and beyond, before You Tube, I would refer to her books for information on skin care and cosmetics to help me choose wisely. I don't know what I would have done without her! I've been using many of her skin care products for years.

Her books we called “Don’t go to the cosmetics counter without me” major eye opening in the 90’s! This truly changed my way of educating myself!

Paula and her team worked really hard building up her products and providing so much scientific-based information to people who followed her. She cashed out to, I think, Unilever, and I cannot blame her in any way. However, Unilever has turned her company almost into the opposite of what she believed in. Also, the prices are quite high now although you can get products on sale now and then. I miss the old Paula's Choice but time marches on.

Her products never irritate my skin. I always have the 2% bha lotion and I am a "senior" now but it cleans out my poors like nothing else and I don't have to worry about irritation. I think everyone should have this in the drawer. Miss the old Beautypedia site though. I guess it isn't feasible anymore with the huge number of cosmetic and skin care products outs. But I really relied on it to steer clear of ineffective products. Nothing else like it.

I randomly found Paula's choice while googling skincare in 2015, and their beautypedia was such a breathe of fresh air for someone who knew NOTHING about skincare. Their products completely transformed my very neglected skin at the time. I appreciate that brand so much for their science backed ingredients, and free, readily available info for those of us who didn't know where to start.

no one does exfoliants and acids like PC. They have figured out THE best pH to formulate it at to yield the best results! Paula is the reason I started wearing sunscreen 10 years ago religiously every single day!

I have been a Paula fan since I found her books in my local library in the very early 90s. I had sensitive skin and was diagnosed with rosacea. Her advice to avoid fragrance, including essential oils put me on the right path.

At first I resisted buying her products because I did not like how she started selling her stuff and reviewing it - the reviews for her stuff was always great and mixed in with the very thorough reviews for other products.

I’m glad that I got over it. The majority of Paula’s products are the best ingredients, reliably formulated to be effective and sold at a reasonable price point. There is nothing not to love.

Her website is the best place to buy her stuff. Staff is helpful and they have a great discount/loyalty program. Returns are rare but easily accomplished.

I laughed at the cotton pad comment: Paula once specifically wrote not to use them when applying toners and exfoliants because it was a waste of product. I checked my newest bottle and it reads to use a cotton pad—maybe a Unilever thing?? and thanks for that bit of information- I hadn’t realized they sold. Good for her! (now I’ll just hope it remains good for the consumer, too)

I’ve been a PC fan since the 90s: the products are effective and I really appreciate that as my skin has changed over time she had other formulations to suit me. Her books and online information are evidence based and a great resource. I truly appreciate how her website includes the purpose/research with the ingredient list.
