I saw this as a small child 83 now, and it haunted me forever. I don’t know what my mom was thinking. Lovely to see it again and put my old fears to rest.

Very pleased this movie was left in b&w. Colourized versions lessen the spooky shadows effects.

Boris Karloff never disappoints. Even in a supporting role, his screen presence is just unmatched. They really don't make atmospheric Gothic thrillers like this anymore

How wonderful to see Boris Karloff and Lon Chaney together in one film! It was made in 1952, diector: Nathan Juran.

Never seen anybody cave as fast as Karloff. One character didn't deserve that end. Really good movie, camera work, dialogue plotting all top notch
