What's funny is that those old historical homes are more expensive due to the character details that are no longer built into homes because it costs so much. <br>So ppl are overpaying for those qualities just to rip them out. It would cost less to build new.

im so mad every time a beige mom acquires an old, just technically outdated house and full on destroy them... its like an angel gets its wings ripped out and beige thrown over it

I don't get how hard it is to buy a modern house if you want everything to be modern, instead of ruining a masterpiece of a home and destroying it's charm.

these people saying "this is our dream house! 😊" and then proceeding to change it so much it is barely recognizable, sap it of all its quirks and its uniqueness until it is a hollowed-out shell of itself have me tweakinnngggg how is it your "dream house" then if you liked nothing of it inside? Imagine applying this reasoning to anything else. Saying "this is my dream job! 😊" and then wanting to change every part of your schedule, not liking your coworkers, not liking your workplace, actually wanting to do something entirely different than what that job entails while still saying it's your "dream job" like. Well it's not your dream job then is it... And similarly it's not your dream house either.

Honestly my dream idea of a home is dark academia meets girly-girl meets granny chic meets studio ghibli homes but with all stained glass for EVERY window 😭 I've been OBSESSED since learning about the Gothic Era of architecture 😅 And I cannot with the people ruining those beautiful homes!
