I read somewhere that shoes are typically pointy and not foot shaped because Victorian nobility needed footwear that could more easily get in and out of stirrups. This became a fashion because people wanted to look like they were wealthy enough to own horses. And now we're stuck with it.

I'm 78 year old woman who wore foot binders sold as shoes for 75 years. Pain, moderate bunions, ankle, knee and back problems. Finally I started rehabilitating my feet. Spacers - pain, pain, pain. Regular barefoot shoes - not bad, but my toes weren't going to leave their point by themselves. NOW Vibram 5 fingers with fairly thick 5 finger socks act as toe spacers and keep toes in place. That and 3 years of exercising my feet and I have the best balance and gait of my life. Knees feel fine. No tripping or falling, No ankle sprains. My big toes do ache occasionally, but it's worth it. I will wear these to my grave.

anyone here old enough to have worn EARTH SHOES? all leather, wide toe box and dropped heel. Once you got used to them, anything else was a torture.

My Mom was a Texas farm girl and grew up heavily barefoot. She only made me wear shoes when it was too hot or too cold. I've gone barefoot as much as I could for twenty years, telling everyone that their shoes were ruining their feet and absolutely the devil.<br><br>The last few years have been very vindicating and I've finally gotten over my scorn of barefoot shoes and I'm really glad they exist while I scream "I told you so!"<br><br>(Also Morton's Neuroma runs in my dad's family and I'm the only one who doesn't have it... except when I've had to wear boots all day at work.)

A barefoot shoe brand named Tolos has a toe spacers that look almost exactly like Correct Toes. I think it was on sale for $12 for a single pair. (They also sell transitionary foot shaped shoes that have a higher stack height while also being foot shaped. I bought a pair for one of my daughters and she really likes them.) I’ve been wearing silicone toe spacers since September of last year and I don’t like the correct toes version. I have duck shaped feet and they don’t splay my toes enough while also irritating in between my toes while barefoot. If I wore them long enough, they would likely give me blisters.<br>That said, they are the only ones I can wear with toe socks inside a shoe.<br><br>Naboso 1.0 are the ones I prefer to wear. I’d like to try the 2.0 because, again, I have duck feet.<br><br>It took me a couple of months of getting used to the silicone ones to be able to wear them for more than an hour or two.<br><br>First time I fell asleep with them on, I woke up about an hour later feeling like my toes were being strangled, lol.<br><br>Interesting video, but I think the only way to answer definitively for the viewer, they would have to have the same foot and toe shape as you. 🤓

I've been looking for a softer version of correct toes for a long time. I found wearing the original extremely uncomfortable. This video was extremely helpful! Thanks!

A friend of mine sent me sent me this video because she knows I’ve had foot problems my whole life. And all I can say is thank you! This was super informative (and very funny)! I’ve already ordered the spacers you recommended. Thank you!
