Not replacing the gasket hurt my soul at least slap some gasket sealer or JB on there 🙃

Should have fitted a gasket either side of the spacer plate or at least some silicone, also should have greased the ball and the little tabs that meet the springs. Usually (like on yours) the grease on the ball has dried up and re greasing improves the change considerably even without the quickshift kit.

Most of the advantage is, that you need to realign the springcontact on the pins! This can be done on the original unit as well, and will improve the shifting massively in most cases as well!!
