  Many thanks for this video. Brings back memories of the Robins playing there in the 70's. Gotta say you guys have some balls climbing on that catwalk! Sad it's going to be demolished.

  Long time RVA resident here.. this place is missed by many.  Anyone who has lived around here for a long time misses the coliseum  greatly and we hate seeing it rotting  away.

  As a Richmond native, it pains me to see how the Richmond Coliseum has been sitting dormant. My granddad helped build the Coliseum. I use to catch all the WWE shows there and the Ringling Bros circus shows. First WWF show attended was the Smackdown show where the Rock did that slide into the people’s elbow. Thanks for sharing

  Saw The Ringling  Brothers Circus "the greatest show on earth" there when I was 5 years old!

  Poor leadership will doom the best communities and this arena being let go then abandoned is an example of that very thing. It is a real shame. Richmond deserves better.

  Richmonder here. This video broke my heart. I went to many shows there over the years, monster trucks, WWE, saw the Harlem Globetrotters, even went with my racecar to advertise the track I used to race at. It was a beautiful, fun place to go to growing up. Thank you for the video.

  My dad won a national lighting award for his lighting design work on this facility. I worked many a night there as a tech official for ArenaRacingUSA. It was a great place for the circus, concerts, tractor pulls, and monster trucks that my friends and family attended.

  As a Virginia native I’ve hated the coliseum just going to waste. I witnessed a Disney on ice in kindergarten. All the WWE shows I would go see. I think the last show I ever saw there was in 2019. And it’s been a shame that it’s just sitting there rotting away. It was the heartbeat of the city. Even used to have the VSU vs VUU Classic basketball game there too. It’s missed

  As someone that grew up in Richmond that place is definitely missed. Never missed a Richmond Renegades game there. And when Friday Cheers was there those were some good times.
