  I'm a Network Engineer as my day job and work with Unifi, as well as a full time car guy. Just a tip, get some brush panels and patch panels, make it pretty and color code cables from switch to patch panel (CCTv, AP's, Ports and Phone). This video tickled me in the right spots. Thank you Jake!!!

  Small little side note Because you installed that hard drive if your cameras are ONVIF compatible You will be able to plug them directly into the switch when you get a new one and Adopt them into unify protect and then you&apos;ll be able to access it through the Unify apps as one big ecosystem<br><br>And definitely talk to Jake about the phones as well because Unify has a built in Voip app as well and the ubiquity phones are pretty cool as well They have a touch screen

  Old school IT guy here - <br><br>Not knowing the problem with the Switch, but check out YouTube for fixes for it. There’s a fair few videos showing their gear being fixed with some “cheap” ICs, etc. It might just be a solder job, rather than a complete replacement.<br><br>It might be an idea to get someone to look over the PCB for you? If you have a buddy that’s good at that sort of thing, it might be more like the cost of a pizza and a beer?<br><br>I understand being busy, but it wouldn’t have lasted a week not being installed in my hands. Especially, since it was free!!! Lol

  The Orbi is most likely auto-negotiating from gigabit to fast Ethernet due a bad cable. I’ve had that exact issue with my UniFi access points with those flat cat6 cables. Switching to a shielded cat6 or 6a or even 5e and it should fix the issue and get you gigabit.
