  I have a SL7 performance since April 25, leased it as soon as it was announced and don’t regret it. I do 500kms a week highway driving in the Bruce ( sunny coast to Brisbane) and have racked up, 43000kms in it. To date, only issues are the wing mirrors sometimes don’t fold in, and I’ve been through a set of tires. It’s had a power controller replaced under recall at the 40k service.<br>Servicing has probably been the biggest issue with the parts department not ordering parts for my service even though they had 5 weeks notice (Newstead Brisbane) and had to delay me by another 3 weeks. Charge at home on 7kw fast charger.<br>All in all, very happy, battery is fine, car travels well and I enjoy not spending 100’s on fuel.

  The Majority of large manufacturers, maybe all of them now, do not build cars for the second hand market. They build their cars to last out the warranty. <br>I see a future where people who can&apos;t afford to buy a new car just don&apos;t have a car.

  This type of thing has been common practice in Japan for decades. In the early 1980’, I was working with Japan’s biggest and most successful IT&amp;T company at their main manufacturing facility in Japan (I won’t name the company, but anyone in the industry at the time will know who I’m talking about). <br><br>I was working in their mainframe section, and was given a tour through the rest of the huge hardware and software factory. I was shocked when we were shown an IBM robotic tape library / drive system being systematically disassembled and its whole guts measured and inspected to the micron. Was this legal, apparently so since the practice is still common, just a different country of origin!

  The used market it is still like any other car - all depends on servicing, how driven and looked after, and any collisions etc. Then depends on replacement and labor costs which can also change for any vehicle same as trying to get parts for many other manufacturers who no longer make/import that vehicle and then many are having big sales drops due to the cost of chinese vehicles with many leaving here and as well as reducing models. The drive IF shared amongst vehicles and with other parts would be great than parts more avaiable and cheaper to manufacturer as you story indicates ... AND many other vehicle required their own scanners to find issues etc. not just them. Then insurance can be a very big issue espicially if they write the vehicle off as payouts normally will not buy a similar vehicle ... I recall some years ago that there was a recommendation for manufacturers to make interchangable parts (some parts etc.) which them would make costs cheaper and replacements and repairs cheaper and eaiser ... BUT that never happened. &nbsp;TIME WILL TELL but do we all wait for how long? to decide ... Then which manufacturer and modle do you pick?

  A very thought awaken video,it not only covers Australia,it covers globally.<br>As a user point of view,one has to decide cheap purchase or low cost maintenance.these toys look very attractive at time of purchase,but these things can drain your money in the long run.<br>Making compact and technology may can decrease the cost of manufacturer,but that cost has to be Bear by some one and it is the end user.<br>Here in GCC,the market is flooded with nemerous Chinese brands,but again (as mentioned in video),there is no back up by insurance authority.

  I’m sitting in my Model-y, which has just parked me overlooking bondi beach in Sydney. My Tesla Model Y is only a few weeks old and I transferred our FSD software from our 2019 Model 3, which can’t run FSD. This FSD (supervised) software running in Australia already is completely beyond belief. Today it drove me 150 km from southern highlands to sydney with only interventions due to changing my mind about sydney destinations. Tesla’s FSD seems human. After a few days of panic due to disbelief, I’m now totally confident with it. Absolutely congratulations Tesla. NO ONE ELSE IS CLOSE TO HAVING THIS IN AUSTRALIA IT SEEMS.

  Thank you for preparing this video. Very real questions with no answers as yet. Can anyone give information about how much insurance is for a 3 year old seal? I own a Rav4 hybrid that is 5 years old. My insurance has gone from $800 for new car to $1700 in 2026. Love Toyota, quality, reliability, &nbsp;quick low cost repairs. I&apos;m one of those people who buy a car for 10 years. &nbsp;Will look at BYD if they have reasonable $ for long term issues. Hope they are not making throwaway at end of warranty cheap cars....

  The financial and environmental costs of devaluation aren&apos;t considered enough by consumers. <br>A 1% tax on the loss amount of selling a used car, incurred and paid for by the seller, may &nbsp;educate.
