  Hi Ben and Nino. I&apos;ve owned a 1980 BMW 323i for 17 years,and it is fitted with the dreaded K Jetronic injection system. In the 17 years i&apos;ve owned it, i have become a K Jet guru ! 3 words to remember with kJet are vacuum,vacuum,vacuum ! So squirting easy start in, with the big rubber boot,that goes from the metering head to the throttle body removed,is never going to work. If you want to use easy start, spray it on the circular baffle plate,quickly put the boot back on,then try to start. If you have even the smallest vacuum leak, the circular baffle plate in the metering head won&apos;t pull up ! Yes it pulls up, not down ! This upward motion activates the plunger on the bottom of the fuel distributor,causing fuel to flow to the injector outlets. Also if the centre plunger in the fuel distributor is even slightly sticky,but not totally stuck,the engine will run,but falter through the rev range. I believe,when you split the fuel distributor to get the plunger out, you used &nbsp;wrong thickness o rings in reassembly,so the plunger can&apos;t make a proper seal,hence bypassing the metering system for each injector,hence constant fuel spray from the injectors. Also if the injector seals are bad, you&apos;ll have vacuum leak at those to,and any other cracked hoses will cause the same. The most common vacuum hose to crack and fail, is the one that goes to the auxiliary air slide. &nbsp;Lastly re the fuel pump. KJet &nbsp;has a fuel safety cut out system, the fuel pump relay ( fuse box big black one, about 2.5 inches tall) is triggered by ignition pulses from the distributer. It&apos;s actually more than just a relay. If you winkle the cover off of it,it has 1980&apos;s era microchips in it. Oh joy ! No ignition pulse,no relay trigger,no fuel pump. You will have to jump the relay,to get the fuel pump to run,without the engine running. Hope this helps.
