  As soon as I saw the headline I thought, &quot;I&apos;ll bet it&apos;s Florence&quot;. &nbsp;<br>When we were young kids (late 70&apos;s) my dad took us there on a few of the many camping trips we took growing up in that area.<br>None of the foot bridges, paths, or signage were there then. &nbsp;It was just collapsed buildings and headstones in amongst the trees.

  Virginia City, the Comstock lode near Reno. In its heyday it had over 100 saloons. Major mining operations. Lots of timber used. Samuel Clemens bought land near lake Tahoe for timber. A very busy town during the civil war. Grant visited since he had investments.
