There is something about 1988-1992 in general that I just love. Something about that period is the very best residual parts of the 80s and the very best of a baby 90s. I could be biased because I was born in 88 and discovered wrestling in 92 but there’s just something about that period-the music, the tv, the wrestling, the movies, the clothes, its my favorite little window of time.

This just in. There won't be a dark side explained. I'm not sure why it's titled that.

I loved the WWF WAY before the first Royal Rumble. As a boy born in the 70s, I IMMEDIATELY fell in love the WWF “Rock & Wrestling” era! Hulk Hogan, Junkyard Dog, and Andre the Giant were among my WWF figures of ‘86, plus the WWF wrestling ring! My schoolmates loved the other promotions (NWA & AWA), but a bloody Dusty Rhodes, Ric Flair, Lex Luger, Rick MartelI just weren’t my cup of tea.. I’d remembered Hulk Hogan from Rocky III. Next thing you know, I dug in to the WWF about a year before the first WrestleMania and was hooked on Superstars of Wrestling and Wrestling Challenge on Saturdays and Sundays, not to mention always looking for Saturday Night’s Main Event on NBC and being disappointed when SNL came on instead.……….it was nothing for me to watch WWF PPVs on a scrambled cable PPV channel (you could still make out who won and lost lol).

Talk about the good ol days lol

Curr Hennig was a truly talented wrestler, Hogan was no more than a puppet. You can't even compare the in-ring difference. Its too big of a gap
