  Analog being a trend freaks me out bc it makes me come to terms with the fact that alot of people just... dont have hobbies?

  The people that are buying into the trend aren’t the same people who already do these things. People that love to read or knit were already chucking it into their tote or purse. Good to know I was years ahead of this trend just by simply having a hobby and doing it in public. People just want an excuse to shop “guilt free”.

  What I&apos;m hearing is that, when people &nbsp;-especially young people &nbsp;- are trying to &quot;find&quot; themselves (which, that&apos;s a phase of life everyone goes through, has gone through, since forever) and our hyper online capitalist society tells people that you can &quot;buy&quot; your identity and sense of belonging. Except, you can&apos;t and that&apos;s why these trends come and go. They&apos;re tapping into a very real human need and offering a quick, but fake fix.
