What are your thoughts on Mata Hari? Was she a spy, or was she simply a scapegoat? Remember to let me know who you would like to see, and if you like these longer videos that delve deeper into people's lives. Thanks a lot for helping us get to 20,000 subscribers!!! Wow, amazing that we did this on just telling biographies; when I created this channel I really thought no one would be interested in these longer stories. I am so glad we all found each other, and you are part of this channel.

So very well done! Having been used and abused by men in my own life, I am awash with grief for her.

What a heartbreaking life she led. I hope she is finally at peace.  Thank you for sharing the unknown story of this innocent lady.

Everyone has heard of her, but I never knew the actual story behind her image. I don’t think she had any particular allegiance to any country, obviously… but the image of her standing in front of the firing squad, made me want to cry 😢

Good grief!  What a story!  Again, as with other videos... I had no idea!  Thank you for this rare and precious education.

She was a scapegoat. The fact that there was zero proof of her betrayal tells the tale.😊

Oh my gosh she didn’t just lose one child but two! I lost my daughter 10 years ago. Can’t imagine going through that twice! And then her daughter was taken away too. Not in death but still taken. She did have a painful past. I’m sad for her. So betrayed by all those men.<br>Quite the scapegoat. 😞Thanks for sharing her story.❤

Another fantastic documentary! I really enjoy the longer, more detailed treatments. Your works are extremely well researched &amp; your writing of the narration is great. So looking forward to the next one! 👏👏👏

I visited Mata Hari’s childhood home, above her father’s hat shop in Leeuwarden last year. It wasn’t easy to find and is relatively unmarked. So sad for someone with such a colourful history

Great video. In some ways, she reminds me of Marie Antoinette. &nbsp;Killed by reputation. Love your channel.
