  There's a even more insane way of winning the fight with Underwater weapon, you double cast gravity linked to quadra, and you will make 80k damage each action with minimal mp cost, you may beat weapon at level 50 in that way.

  The only downside to the materia system and these setups specifically is - the time investment to master materia making anything but the two superbosses where this complexity matters.

  i took the time to make two more sets of master materia. that took sooooo much time but i think it was worth it, would totally recommend.

  Enemy Skill Materia is crazy. You can just slap it on everyone, have a full kit of offensive magic, support/healing magic, debuff magic, etc. with no statistical downside.

  For the emerald weapon, once very cool combination that can be done that helps you defeat that enemy is having elemental materia paired with gravity. Emerald is succeptible to gravity, so even if you're not at your strongest, all attakcs will start doing 9999 damage, due to its freaking huge 1 milliion hp. That with 4x attack and final attack with phoenix is a quick recipe for success.

  Cloud vs Link is actually a video that I just saw recently with them having all abilities they've had in all games/movies. It went... about as you'd imagine it might. RIP Link.

  I had so many crazy materia set ups back in the day. I beat emerald without the underwater materia or spamming kotr, i beat sephoroth without having to touch my controller.
