  member of the Rickenbacher clan here, i was born too late to meet my uncle Eddie but i spent my entire childhood looking up to him as an inspiration. i would love to see nick have an entire episode about his life.<br>it was an honor to listen to Mr. Davis

  When I was in high school (early 2000&apos;s) Sammy Lee Davis told us his story as a guest speaker. &nbsp;I got a chance to shake his hand...it was the only time in my life that I was nervous to shake someone&apos;s hand. &nbsp;I just admired the man so much...it was like getting to meet a real super hero.

  Im like 10 mins into the episode and Ive already found Mr. and Mrs. Davis to be two amazing people! Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Davis for all of your sacrifices you have made for our country. I really hope to find love like these two. Mrs. Dixie takes good care of this man you can see it!<br>Edit: When they were talking about how the country turned on our troops...It just sounded so erily of what is going on right now. I cant even imagine how those men and woman felt coming home. Nearly giving your life, getting wounded, watching your friends die. To come home and get spit on and shit talked. It breaks my heart.

  In April of 1998, at 15 years old, I met Sammy Davis at the Vietnam Veterans of Brevard Memorial in Brevard County, Florida. I shook his hand, and my regret is I wasn&apos;t old enough or wise enough to understand who exactly I was privileged to meet. &nbsp;It makes me so happy to know he is still on this Earth healing and inspiring the same vets at that memorial 28 years later. &nbsp;God bless you, sir.

  He was the speaker at my graduation. Solid guy, he even stayed afterwards and talked to any of us who wanted to meet him. I used to have a signed picture he gave me but unfortunately i lost it in a move years ago.
