I'm one of those few female subscribed viewers. Thank you for acknowledging us. There are women who enjoy history too.

"Sexy pigeon lingerie...." Now there's a term I bet that none of us expected we'd hear when we woke up this morning! 😂

Not a war strategy but I've heard that in medieval Germany there was a Lord who conquered another castle. Before sacking it though he made a deal to let the women leave with whatever they could carry. The women then proceeded to walk straight to the dungeon and retrieve their husbands, giving them piggyback rides out of the city. The Lord was so impressed that he actually let them do it too

One of Murphy's Laws of Combat states: "If it's stupid, but, it works, it isn't stupid."

I love the idea that the Gauls got so scared over by the wine trade that their ancestors said never again and made it themselves.

One hairbrained tactic was when King Pyrrhus switched armor with his bodyguard out of fear his men would lose heart should he fall in battle, only for the Romans to kill that bodyguard and parade his bloodstained armor up and down the lines claiming to have killed King Pyrrhus, causing a panic amongst the Greeks. It was at this moment, Pyrrhus knew he done goofed.

Speaking of women and history, Caitlin Doughty did an excellent video on the H.L. Hunley. 18:37
