FF6 is hands down simply a special game. As a rapidly aging millennial, my heart is always warmed by posts in the FF subreddit from new players of FF6 Pixel Remaster who are blown away that it was a SNES game.

One thing a lot of people do not realize is a good 200KB of the FF6 game's 2MB coding is dedicated to a single scene. Cyan's Nightmare in the World of Ruin has a huge section of coding dedicated towards allowing the party to grab the missing characters after they are dragged into Cyan's Nightmare, but the way they did the coding means they cycled through EVERY possible character up to three different times. It was hilariously inefficient.<br><br>Modders tend to cut that bit out to grab hold of a lot of free space for coding in other things for their FF6 game mods to work/function.

My wife is playing through FF VI right now as her first FF game. Playing it on a RGB modded 1chip SNES through a Sony PVM CRT. She's getting the highest quality possible to experience it with. I spoil her. 😂<br><br>Edit: I put IV instead of VI
