Rockys wasn't stiff by his style. His technique was simple but his skills had very unexpected effect when they crushed in his opponents like bombs.

One very MAJOR thing besides the champ's height and weight. He started boxing at 25! That's insanely late, at that point many boxing champions already win the title at about 25 or under. Even if you go and train boxing at 15 years old even then its a bit late to start, let alone TEN fucking years after that....... Incredible, this is why he is my favorite and there is only one heavyweight champion such as Rocky.

I'm of African descent who have being boxing since I was 7 years old and, though I'm a HUGE Tyson, Ali, Sugar ray (both sugar), Hearns, Hagler, Holyfield, Lennox, Lewis, and Jack Johnson but my all time number one boxer is Rocky Marciano. Check out this Argentinian boxer Nicolino Locche; homie had some crazy defense moves.
