  My mate met Langer and he told me Langer said Pat Cummins had nothing to do with him getting the flick. It was all Hazlewood and Lyon

  Big fan of Justin Langer as person, a batter, a team man, &amp; as a coach.<br><br>Check out interviews with Mike Whitney about Bobby Simpson as a hard taskmaster Australian Coach. Whitney &nbsp;conceded the training sessions were gruelling but he acknowledges it created the mental toughness for Allan Border&apos;s &amp; Steve Waugh&apos;s team to win in the West Indies &amp; in India. <br>Ageing players used to be pushed out of the game because they could no longer tolerate the gruelling training sessions. &nbsp;Ageing players want soft training so they can leverage their individual brands for being recruited &nbsp;for wallet fattening franchise &nbsp;tournaments.

  Coaches in cricket teams are not important. The captain runs the team. The coach organises fielding practice.<br>Langer wanted to be Captain. He didn’t respect the culture of a cricket team.

  I watched the series &apos;The Test&apos; on Amazon prime video where I can see why he quit. Nobody likes him as a person in the squad due to his over strictness and toxic environment. He used to train the players like how they did back in the day. This is why Cummins and many other players protested for his resignation
