Hi. James here. Wow. Crazy to think Lilah is now 11 years old. This was such an awesome trip down memory lane, and I hope the other families are doing well. Melissa and I added 2 more kiddos to our family since this was filmed, and Cameo crossed the rainbow bridge a couple months ago, after living a great life. Melissa now has a second Guide Dog, and he is just as good with the kids as Cameo was.

My great grandparents were both blind and they had 6 kids and lived a great life. Congratulations on your beautiful daughter.💜

I was friends with a lovely woman years ago that was visually impaired, and she was expecting twins. She was a fantastic mother. No disposable nappies around then just the good cloth ones.

i believe these parents will be just as good if not better because they are aware of things that can go wrong and are really paying attention as much as they can !!! at the same time they should be able to get every service available to help instead of courts looking at what could go wrong. these parents have just as much a right to have a child as anyone and i applaud there efforts to do so !!! they are far better than a lot of parents i see without disability!!!! all the best to you guys !!!! ❤

In regards to James not being able to see the ultrasound,I've heard that there is a way to make those things turn into a 3D model so that people can use their hands to see what's on the screen about their child. Which is so cool and thoughtful! 💜

That anyone would dream of taking such a desired and loved child from the blind couple is infuriating. Take the child where? Into an overwhelmed system with too few competent fosters, which lessens the babies chances at a happy life and exposed her to makevolent personalities? We don't have the resources to protect kids from parents who don't live them more than their addictions or predelicrions. Lily is wanted and cherished by her parents who obviously do all they can to provide her a loving nurturing home. Give then a bit of support and they will flourish beyond expectations.

35:10 Ahhh, I remember the days of folding baby clothes... well, the 1 day. When I washed all of the newborn baby clothes and folded them before our son came home. Never folded them again lol. Too time-consuming (imo) and they're so small. I just organized them by what they were, e.g., onesies, pants, short sleeve/long sleeve, sleepers, etc.!

See in New Zealand they don't usually do the type of gastric surgery she had if pregnancy is intended in the future for exactly that reason.
