16:01 So what’s interesting about this is there’s an instance where a movie may have depicted The Lovers correctly on accident. In the James Bond film ‘Live and Let Die’ the villain kidnapped and raised a young woman named Solitaire (yes, really) to use her mystical powers to accurately predict the future via tarot readings (yes, really). She reads Bond’s fortune at one point and of course The Lovers comes up. Bond naturally thinks that it means they’ll sleep together, but here’s the weird thing. Solitaire’s powers are based on her virginity (yes, really). If she sleeps with Bond she will lose her ability to accurately read fortunes. She does eventually choose to do so, but it marks a major turning point in her life as she leaves the villain who had effectively been her father behind and joins Bond. So in a way, The Lovers was accurate for her. I say this is accidental because to be blunt, I don’t think the writers were smart enough to have done it on purpose. That kind of subtlety is not what you’d expect from James Bond films, especially not at that time.

Fitting, considering today's Tarot Card Reading Day.

 Man.

Seeing the Aeon and Jester bios here just reminded me how amazing the Faith and Councilor Confidants in Royal are, I am really excited for those. ESPECIALLY Councilor, that one is flat-out one of my all-time favorite ones in the series (I struggle to say it's my absolute favorite, because P3 Sun and P4 Emperor here exist)

Your dissection of the face Tarot cards is nice. Though, I wish you touched on the inverse meanings of them as well, because those are really interesting

Interesting tidbits about Marie's Social Link 1 you can start it on a rainy day and the weather will change just for that scene and 2 you can romance her without having any consequences because one of her scenes is separate from the rest of the girls. So I romance 2 girls in every playthrough that I did after the 1st.

Been looking forward to this one as I do quite like your bios for the series since it does talk about both the tarot motifs and how the motifs itself fit very well into Persona 4 :)

Best social links in the franchise time! Mostly cause it has Naoki, the single best social link in the franchise imo
I love coming back to these videos every now and then cause they're so informative and I love all of the symbolism with the actual tarot cards

I've been waiting for this one, having these all in one place is going to be super useful for me. (also I totally forgot about what you said at the start of Death, it was really funny, as weird as that sounds out of context)

Making a separate comment but man, I really love the transition of how one card became another, one of the editing highlights in the series for me.

Anyways the real reason for why I made this separate comment (and why it's 3 hours apart from the first comment I made) is that I have been trying for over a year to create a story that has heavy tarot motifs in it, especially with its symbolism. Considering that the Persona series as a whole is one of my biggest inspirations for it, I have chosen to restart concepts for this story by well going back to the roots of what each card means so I can have a representative for each card for the empty being's journey so this video came out at the perfect time for me. As such...I may have used this video to take notes, also that I had to take 2 breaks in the process for an irl thing or two.

Therefore, I found this video to be highly informative and the note taking process may eventually hopefully lead to having a better handwriting, though I doubt it, as it has always been somewhat horrible but at least its readable as long as I don't write too fast. Horrible as in where I used to get "I can't read this" on my homework assignments back in high school, fun times...

Forgive the lengthy comment, I tend to ramble on so I had attempted to tame myself on making this second comment just to get to the point, otherwise it would have went on for much longer than it presently is.
