The culture of placing coffins on cliffs like in this show, is exactly like the Dayak tribe culture that is located in the interior of the Mahakam River, East Kalimantan Province in Indonesia. Tombs or coffins on cliffs like that can still be found in several places in Mahakam Ulu Regency, East Kalimantan Province, Indonesia. Which by anthropologists and archaeologists, believe that in the history of the Dayak tribe migration did come from the Yunnan area.

The use of wrong image is actually a strategy used so that people who are eager to correct the mistake would keep om commenting which leads to better algorithmic advantages so that the channel may be popularized and compensated in lesser required time.

They didn't put them in "coffins," they put them in hollowed out tree trunks. That's a whole other level of symbolism.

We are hmong people in America, but my ancestors were called the miao in china. My grandparents said that the Chinese rulers will destroy all hmong graves if we don't buried our deads ones' graves look Chinese's graves they will be destroyed, so now hmong people in laos  have 2 style of graves, 1 we call it chinese grave, the other is hmong graves. Inclusion, I believed the reason they hang their coffins on the clif were to avoid being destroyed by the Chinese rulers at that time.

The Chachapoya in the high Andes also had sky-high coffins in precarious cliff locations. &nbsp; They didn&apos;t have the power of flight, either. &nbsp;Neither did the ancient cliff dwellers in the American Southwest or some tribespeople in the high Himalayas who also made their homes and tombs in &apos;inaccessible&apos; locations.

I read about this unique practice of these hanging coffins many, many years ago, but does not remember the reasons behind this practice. <br>Without watching this post to the end, the most logical reason that comes to mind is that parts of China are prone to devastating annual flooding and, instead of burying their dead in the ground which would be inundated by annual floods, the Bo people put their dead high up on cliffs to keep them dry. Also, it&apos;s symbolic of being closer to the heavens and one more reason is that it would not be easy for tomb robbers to rob these coffins.
