That is an interesting and substantially more positive interpretation to that ending. Most people assume the family has been trapped in a snow-globe in Krampus's lair.

Beth's decision to leave and her father to let her go through with it had to be the DUMBEST thing I've seen in a horror movie. Do you see what it looks like outside?! it looks like earth has gone through another ice age and weird shit is going on that threatens your family and you SERIOUSLY let your daughter travel through something like that. They all deserve whats happened to em.

this could of all been avoided if the grandmother told them about what would happen at the start 💀

"Dad, the pieces of paper i threw out of the window flew to the sky, so now i'm researching mythical Santa folklore."

"Oh no! Son, that sounds very serious. Quick, go barricade the windows, while i go rob our neighbours houses!"

I thought this was one of the movies where people misinterpret the ending. The family wasn't trapped in a globe or anything the bell was just to remind them that krampus was always watching and making sure they appreciated christmas. So in way the ending was a happy one.

The most paranoid man in the world: that wind was blowing too hard.I better search up ancient Christmas demons just in case there's one that happened to be haunting me right now.

Yay, you understood the ending correctly!

It's surprising how many people thought the ending was people trapped in globes, as little sense as that makes.

The bell is the big giveaway that the family get another chance but he'll be watching, just like what the grandmother endured in the past (except only she as the cause of Krampus's visit gets the warning and second chance). There would be no point giving the bell if he'd just taken them away to be trapped forever.

I know how to beat this entire movie. First, don't sit there at the dinner table allowing Max's cousins to bully him by reading the whole letter. If any adult had stepped in from the start, Max wouldn't have had to tear up the letter thus triggering all that happened in this movie. SIMPLE. LOL!!🎄🎄🎄🎅🎅🎅🌟🌟🌟Full disclaimer: I do love this movie it's a Christmas tradition to watch it at least every Christmas since it came out in 2015. 😊
